Frank Ski, Fashion, and Kids

Jasmyn Santiago September 19, 2012

Last Sunday, C.R.E.E.P. had the opportunity to be among many beautiful people at Frank Ski’s Presents: Couture for Change Fashion Show and Mixer. The event benefited economically disadvantaged families and children, while also serving as an excellent platform for local professionals to network. Attendees were engaged by vendors who were present before, during, and after the event. The venue was delightful; captivating art work and fashionable designs scaled the walls of Studio Couture, convincing many guests to become customers.

Once the fashion show had begun, the models, including three of C.R.E.E.P.’s own Angels, looked stunning as they sported the latest fashions. Rodney Lynn, Owner of Studio Couture, describes Mr. Ski as a “community champion” for hosting such an influential event to benefit children. 100% of the event’s proceeds went to Higher Family Achievement, a non-profit organization that provides educational and support services to economically disadvantaged families and children in the Atlanta area.

Many up and coming artists, including Rapper J-Spitta and R&B duet Lissen, graced the stage. Special guests included Love and Hip Hop’s Mama Dee, who attended in support of her daughter, Jasmine, who graced the runway as a model. Mama Dee says she supports anything Frank Ski does, especially for the children. “Mama Dee loves the kids!” Frank Ski’s Presents: Couture for Change Fashion Show and Mixer was an exceptionally successful event; not only for Frank Ski, but for the entire community.

Symeria Palmer October 15, 2012

On Sunday, C.R.E.E.P. took great pride in its opportunity to sponsor “The Life Monologues: It’s A Thin Line”,  a play produced by the Learical Jonez Entertainment Group (LJEG). LJEG is one of the most creative, community oriented theater companies that Atlanta has to offer. "It's A Thin Line" is an incredibly well-performed, controversial play filled with heart-throbbing moments and raw emotion.

The 16 monologue play consists of real life issues that strongly focus upon the male’s perspective. Eight monologues are acted out by men and eight by women. There are two sides to each story and each individual is given the opportunity to deeply express themself. Learical Jonez, CEO of LJEG, defines the play as being, “Based on relationships, actions, and consequences; whether it be sibling relationships, friendships, or love relationships, it’s all based on relationships and how sometimes you never get the full story of the man’s side.”

The cast consisted of some of the most talented poets, musicians, and comedians that Atlanta has to offer; including, C.R.E.E.P.’s very own Jashan Powell, Journee Poetess, Doug Berry, Candace Nicole, Marvena Davis, Bridgette Levi, Da-Da Lewis, MD The Great, Terese Menifee, Warren Harper, Tangie Larkin, Omega Maurianni and Kelvin Rowe.
